Cash and Karrie...

Peter Karrie, star of The Phantom of the Opera, made a visit to Cardiff's David Morgan department store and found that the closing down sale hit the right note with his bank balance. Peter, who in his youth played rugby for Cardiff, said the store had: "Been a personal favourite throughout his life". The singer is back in Wales to promote his Christmas show "Peter Karrie's Big Big Big Christmas Cracker Show"

A store spokesman said: "We are delighted Peter found some great bargains going for a song.'
